To support the work of Sport in Mind
As a tennis coach sport is a massive part of my life and have always loved trying new sports and exercising. I started running due to boredom during lockdown and decided early on that at some point I’d like to do a marathon. I thought using the marathon as a way to help people would be a great idea and good way of giving back.
I am fundraising for Sport In Mind, I have first hand experience of the benefits to be found in running and exercise in general for your mental health. That’s why I am so pleased to but running the Reading half marathon to give something back and raise some much needed funds for a great charity!
I believe sport and exercise are vitally important for maintaining mental health and well being as well as physical health.
I think that this charity provides so much help for those who are suffering with their mental health - by increasing their physical activity but also helping people to be together

We as a club believe that mental health is so important and we love the idea of using sport to help with it. It’s been a tough 18-24 months for all of us and this is a charity who we believe will do some good to help those who are struggling.

I am going to run 80 miles in July! Wether it is 3miles or even 10. Exercise was my therapy when i suffered with my mental health a couple of years ago and helping a charity that help this will be the best way to payback
Sport in mind is a wonderful organisation, an Allie to the NHS,helping people to use their natural resources to keep a steady balance or to improve their mental state
